Terms of Service
Last updated 2 August 2026
These terms cover use of Commiq, a hosted commission page for artists, operated from Australia. By creating an account or submitting a commission request through a page hosted here, you agree to them.
These terms are not an artist's terms
Every artist writes their own terms of service for their commissions — payment, revisions, usage rights, deadlines, cancellations. That document governs the commission itself and is between the artist and their client. Commiq is not a party to any commission, does not handle payment, and does not mediate disputes. The page you are reading only covers use of the software.
Accounts
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password secure. Accounts are for people aged 16 and over. One person may hold one account; usernames that impersonate someone else may be reclaimed.
What you may not use it for
- Anything illegal, or content that sexualises minors — including fictional characters presented as minors
- Impersonating another artist, or presenting someone else's work as your own
- Harassment, hate speech, or threats
- Spam, scraping, or attempts to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the service
- Uploading images you do not have the right to use
Accounts that breach this may be suspended or removed. Where it is reasonable to do so, you will be told why.
Your content stays yours
You keep all rights to everything you upload — artwork, text, prices, terms. You grant Commiq only the permission needed to run the service: to store your content and display it on your page and, where you have opted in, in the public queue or a process timeline. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.
Process timelines and reviews
A process timeline shows the work-in-progress stages of a finished commission as evidence of how it was made. It is opt-in per commission — nothing appears publicly unless you choose it for that piece.
Reviews are written by clients after delivery. An artist may hide a review from their page but cannot edit its wording; a review that is abusive or clearly false may be removed on request. Reviews reflect their authors' opinions, not Commiq's.
Cost
Commiq is currently free. Paid plans may be introduced later. If that happens, features you already rely on will not be removed without notice, and you will never be charged without agreeing first.
Availability
This is a small, independently run service. It is offered as it is, without a guarantee of uptime, and features may change. Keep your own copies of artwork and important commission details rather than relying on this as your only record. To the extent the law allows, Commiq is not liable for lost work, lost income, or disputes arising from a commission.
Nothing here limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or equivalent legislation where you live.
Ending it
You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which removes your page and associated data as described in the Privacy Policy. The service may be discontinued, in which case account holders will be given reasonable notice and a chance to export their data.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
